NHS dental charges in England come in three bands. Our check-up, small white filling and crown prices start from those NHS equivalent prices, so everyday treatments cost starting from what they would on the NHS. The difference is the appointment: booked when you want it, on time, unhurried, with a dentist who shows you the scan and explains what they see.
More complex treatment plans are quoted in full before anything starts. There is no fee you find out about afterwards.
NHS charges as published by the NHS for England, September 2026; ours from our fee guide of the same date. An NHS band charge covers a whole course of treatment, however many fillings it holds; our prices are per treatment, so a course of several fillings costs more here than on the NHS.
And the treatments people travel for: teeth whitening £200 on the current offer (usually £400), composite bonding from £200 a tooth, porcelain veneers £800 a tooth, Invisalign from £999, a single implant with its crown from £1,700. For whitening, a check-up comes first, so the whitening is done on healthy teeth and gums; a new patient examination starts from £27.90.

At the consultation we scan your face and teeth in 3D. No putty impressions. For bonding, Invisalign, implants and smile design the consultation is free.

The scan becomes a design of your finished smile on screen. You look at it with the dentist and change what you want changed before you commit to anything.

Treatment, at the quoted price
Bonding usually takes about an hour in one visit. Invisalign runs over months with check-ins. Implants are planned in stages. Each is priced in writing beforehand.

Are you an NHS dentist?
No. Designer Smiles is a private practice. Our check-up, small white filling and crown prices start from the equivalent NHS band prices (£27.90, £76.60 and £332.10), which is why patients call it NHS prices. If you are entitled to free NHS dental treatment, an NHS practice will cost you less than we do; our NHS prices page lists who qualifies.
Is the consultation really free?
For composite bonding, Invisalign, dental implants and smile design, yes. A refundable deposit holds the appointment. A new patient examination for general dentistry starts from £27.90.
How do I book?
Online through our booking page at any hour, by phone on 0121 709 3821, or by WhatsApp using the green button. Cancellations need 24 hours’ notice; after that a £25 charge applies to a 30-minute appointment and £50 an hour to longer ones.
I am frightened of the dentist. Will that be a problem?
No. Many of our Google reviews are written by people who describe themselves as anxious or terrified, and they came back. The dentist tells you what is about to happen before it happens, you can stop at any point, and for longer treatments sedation is available at £350 a session.
Do you see children?
Yes. A child’s examination with x-rays is £15, a child’s hygiene visit £35, and fissure sealants, which protect the biting surfaces of new back teeth, are £35 a tooth.

Call us as early in the day as you can on 0121 709 3821. An emergency appointment is £27.90 during opening hours and £150 outside them, and covers the examination and the immediate relief; any treatment that follows is priced from the fee guide.
Can I spread the cost?
Our membership plans spread routine care (examinations and hygiene visits) across the year for a monthly amount, with a discount on treatment. Reception will show you the three plans, and the costs page lists them.
Where do I park?
There is free parking for patients at the practice on Manor Square, just off the High Street. The practice has level access and an accessible bathroom.
